Queen of the Cryptids: The Legend of the Flatwoods Monster is my original comic book/graphic novel pitch, a genre-busting passion project about redemption and North American Cryptids. When a bratty alien queen (equal parts Marie Antoinette and Cher from Clueless) escapes her execution, she crash lands on the wildest planet in the galaxy—Earth. She’s determined to rebuild her ship and reclaim her throne, but she has to play nice with the locals—a hyperactive Hopkinsville Goblin, the neurotic psychic Mothman, and the hot-headed Jersey Devil. The royal pain might be getting along with Earth’s weirder characters, but can’t stop herself from making new enemies out of the planet’s most formidable species, the humans–and she can’t outrun the ones from her home planet, either.
